a little bit about me.

I'm a UX/UI designer and researcher from Calgary, Canada.

I stumbled upon UX design while pursuing a career in psychology, and immediately connected with the goals and practices of UX design. Compared with much of the academic research and processes I was used to, everything involved in the UX design process just seemed to make sense, with the ultimate goal of making digital products that make sense to the people who use them. I was hooked. Creating efficient, useful, beautiful systems and interfaces to guide and allow users to seamlessly complete their desired tasks was is, as it turns out, very satisfying.

Through UX research and design, my love for psychology and understanding why humans do what they do lives on, and although the work I do isn't helping other humans in the way I'd imagined it would be as a psychologist, making our digital world (which we interact with on an almost constant basis nowadays) just a little more pleasant, a little less frustrating, and with our user’s best interests in mind improves the quality of life of our users and translates to the world we end up seeing around us. This is why I love UX/UI design, and these are the values I take with me throughout my research and design process.
